Jessica Character Profile (Life is Inevitable)

If Jessica were a real person, her motto in life would be, “if you only know someone as purely good or purely evil, you obviously don’t know them at all.” This quote, right here, describes her character perfectly. She starts as a bully. Someone whose only purpose is to inflict pain on others, but over time more of her internal struggles and emotions begin to surface. And in a way, she’s between a supporting and a main character. It sounds like a strange statement, but there are just so many pages dedicated to her and her relationship with Brennan. The story is never told from her perspective, yet we always see so many things from her point of view. Readers will be drawn to her because, just like Brennan, she’s not 100% likable or unlikeable.
